We are back in action with Dr. Michael Ryan as our Music Director and Mr. Eric Wong as Assistant Music Director for the Fall Season. WELCOME BACK! Selections from “100 Carols for Choirs” and a few choral pieces from Handel’s Messiah; besides Cantonese and Mandarin songs with Eric Wong.
FIRST Rehearsal - Saturday Sept 12, 2015 with Audition for newcomers. Rehearsal Weeks - Sept 12, 19, 26 Oct 3, 10, 17 , 31 Oct 24 A special arrangement with The Haywood Sisters (Dr. Ryan’s daughter, a trio singing group from UK) For those who’d like to join, please refer to the details stated below. Nov 7, 14, 21, 28 Performance at St. John’s Cathedral on Tuesday Dec 1, 2015 EVENING CONCERT. Dec 5, 12 (two more rehearsals for other December performances to be confirmed later) Total 13 rehearsal weeks this season.
Subscription Fee : $980 per person. (NO NEED TO PAY NOW!). After your Audition on Sept 12, you will receive a Confirmation Letter from the Convenor by email indicating which Section you’ve been allocated, after which please make your payment IMMEDIATELY to secure a placement in the choir! Half price for HKU graduates from 2010 onwards.
DEADLINE of application : Sept 8, 2015
A CAPELLA GROUP will start in October from 5-6pm with Dr. Ryan. AUDITION DATE will be announced after the Fall Season has started. A SEPARATE payment will be charged upon acceptance into this group. The number of participants will be determined by Dr. Ryan.

THE HAYWOOD SISTERS will be coming from UK to HK in October. They perform round the world either with musical instruments or without. On Oct 24, they will be teaching : - How to do close harmony singing, - Small group singing and performing, - 1950s, 60s songs. A SEPARATE payment will be charged at $150 per person. Please indicate to HKUAA OFFICE that you’d wish to include the $150 with your Subscription fee.
To avoid inconvenience to our clubhouse staff, please do not pay the subscription fee by credit card or cash at clubhouse especially at rehearsals.
