Dear alumni member,

Upon the successful conclusion of the three Christmas performances this year at St. John’s Cathedral, The Elements and K11 , HKUAA CHOIR is now marching on to a new Spring Season with a mixed repertoire, namely :

- movements from Mozart Requiem;

- Handels’s “Hallelujah” in Messiah, chorus parts;

- John Rutter melodies;

- Chilcot’s Irish Blessing

plus many more wonderful spring-time melodies!

Our charismatic leader and music director Dr. Michael Ryan shall give us a brand-new performance experience with a BRASS ENSEMBLE! I am sure we are all agog in curiosity and expectation of this latest feat in music!

Rehearsal dates all Saturdays at hkuaa clubhouse from 3 – 5pm :

Jan 16 First Rehearsal of the season – AUDITION for new applicants

Mar 5, 12, 19,

April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 (last rehearsal)

Performance venue is still to be confirmed, but the LUNCH RECITAL at St. John’s Cathedral has been confirmed on Wednesday April 27 from 1 – 2pm.

In the event that the Season’s Performance is on May1 or May2, then we shall have one more rehearsal on April 30.

A CAPELLA group will be led by Ms Juliana Chan (starting date to be confirmed) from 5-6pm after rehearsal. Member’s fee will be determined by the number of participants this season.

Subscription fee : $980 (NOT INCLUDING A capella membership fee, but entitled to free coffee/tea after rehearsal).
Half price for HKU graduates from 2011 onwards.

Song Books payment :    Mozart Requiem $220

                                          ENCORES FOR CHOIRS  $180

Uniform for lady member : About $400 to be bought by herself from the shop Rosarini.
