Message from the AA Bar

Dear wine lovers :

As we ushered in the new year and soon the Chinese 新年，may I wish you all a productive 2018 with good health and a happy festival season.

It is time again to remind our Fine Wine Club members to renew their membership for the old price of $200 a year.  For those who are not yet members, may I introduce you to such benefits as free wine tastings three times a year, 10% discount to wine dinners two to three times a year and occasional subscriptions to fine wines at hugely discounted prices.  You will also receive information on good value wines available locally and other useful wine information from time to time.  So please join quickly.

We have just revised our wine menu and you will notice, among other items, the coming back of the popular Château Gloria from St Emilion, Bordeaux.  This time it is the 2009 vintage which is even better than the 2010 previously on sale.  It has  scores of RP 95, Decanter 17 and, quite preciously, a 17 from Jancis Robison.  It is priced at $630 a bottle, which may be a lot cheaper than drinking in most restaurants and bars.  Expressive, flamboyant bouquet of black fruits, Christmas spices, licorice and roasted Provincal herbs, full bodied with soft tannins, low acidity and a sumptuous, plump style.  Just a few of the descriptions of this amazing viatge !  Do order this gem next time you come.

1. Members are entitled to at least 2 FREE Wine Tasting per year.
2. Members are entitled to 10% off disucount at Wine Dinners which will be held 2-3 times per year.
3. Wine subscriptions for good value wines are open to members with huge discounts.
