Learn to take ATTRACTIVE photos!

1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Highlights

This course helps you to learn your camera well and get tips and techniques about nature photography styles.

1. You need to prepare before leave
(1) Equipment: DSLR (with different lenses if they have) and Tripod
(2) do some Pre Readings (mentioned later)
(3) know some Masters’ names (Ansel Adams, Angrea Gursky, Jack Dykinga, Carr Clifton, Tom Till, David Muench)

2. Location and run down
(1) 1 pm: Meeting at Tsuen Wan Station B exit, then take mini bus to Shing Mun Reservoir.
(2) 2 pm: Mr Chan will talk about some picture taking skills (mentioned later) while leading us going around Shing Mum Reservoir.
(3) 3-5 pm: Practice skill time in Shing Mum Reservoir, Mr Chan will be around to answer questions and take some pictures as examples.

2) When reach Shing Mum Reservoir, Mr Chan will talk about the following techniques.
A) Knowing the natural lights ( direct sunlight and under the shade)
B) Knowing the difference of Aperture
C) Using different Shutter Speed for different visual effects
D) Knowing Principle of composition ( golden rules )
E) Choosing different lenses for framing ( wide, standard, Telephoto zoom )
F) Shooting with different Angles of one object. (low angle, hight angle, Top shot )
G) Tips of using Tripod

(3) Traveling around Shing Mum Reservoir and practice the skills learned with Mr. Chan’s help.

** Instructor Biography **

Frank, Fung Chan is a talented professional photographer who has set up his company – Fung Chan Foto Ltd.(http://www.fungchanfoto.com/). He has received professional photographic training in his undergraduate study. He specializes in portraiture, corporate, advertisement, fashion and wedding, as well working on his own creative art works.

Frank started his career by shooting an advertisement for Pret A manager in 2010 during his first year of university. In 2011, Frank stated working for Intellectbooks, publisher in UK, cooperating withtwoeditors/professors from Sydney University and Queensland University in Shanghai for a book "Shanghai Street Style."

In 2012, Frank decided to take a break from school to fully immerse himself in the photography industry in order to see first hand the standards of commercial photography. Frank also used this time to cultivate his own unique style of photography.

Now in 2013, Frank is back to school and is working on two books,"30th Anniversary-CityU successful alumni" and "Mumbai Street Style" On his days off from school, Frank works as a freelance to do portraits, corporate, advertisement, fashion and wedding photography as well as refining his own unique style for his artistry.
