Dear member,

        Do you love to sing? If you do, come join HKUAA CHOIR in its second season singing Christmas carols in December. Tentatively, there will be one dinner concert and three performances at prestigious shopping malls.

        Our first season started off in March and ended with two performances in June, with nearly 60 choir members in total. Both the lunch and dinner performances in June were filled to capacity in our clubhouse, producing both satisfaction and gratification in singers and audience alike!

        Dr. Michael Ryan will continue to be our enthusiastic and charismatic Music Director after holding two Summer Workshops in Music Reading and Singing Techniques in July and August.

        Details of the Christmas Season are as follows:

First Rehearsal : Saturday Sept 14, 2013

Season will end after the last performance on Saturday Dec 14, 2013.

(Total 14 weeks)

Time : 3pm – 5pm

Venue : HKUAA club premises

Audition of newcomers (not enrolled in the first season) : First we will sing through the Christmas songs; and then Auditions to follow.

Charge per person : $980 (including free coffee/tea after each rehearsal)

DEADLINE of application : Aug 31, 2013.

Returning choir members :

No requirement for audition unless you want to change to another Section. However a vetting process based on past attendance record; punctuality plus assessment by the Music Director, will begin from now to Sept 12 and successful applicants will receive a letter of confirmation VIA EMAIL from the Convenor securing a place for them. For those who have not received this letter is indicative that their applications are on the waitlist.

        PAYMENT SHOULD BE MADE ONCE YOU HAVE RECEIVED THE CONVENOR’S LETTER OF CONFIRMATION. In the event that payment has not been made BEFORE SEPT 12, your choir membership will be given to another applicant.
