This season, our choir takes on two extraordinary works that together span nearly 80 years of sacred music's evolution. Vivaldi's radiant Magnificat opens with Baroque intimacy—chromatic harmonies, terraced dynamics, and dramatic contrasts that reveal the voice in its purest, most expressive form. Then we soar into Haydn's electrifying Nelson Mass, where turbulent wartime drama unfolds into symphonic, almost operatic grandeur, resolving into radiant triumph.
Performed together, these works create a natural arc—from whispered devotion to full-throated glory—inviting singers to demonstrate remarkable versatility, from nuanced Baroque phrasing to the stamina and power of Classical choral writing. It's a journey from Vivaldi's Venice to Haydn's Vienna in a single unforgettable evening.

Dr. Lesley Chan, our voluntary Music Director, will continue to lead the choir, offering his time and musical talent freely for the betterment of choral performance! Mr. Wallace Ng, our new Assistant Music Director, will assist at rehearsals.
