Dear HKUAA Members,

Re:  Introducing the HKU Graduate Credit Card embossed with

HKUAA membership number

- "2-In-1" Arrangement for Greater Privileges and Convenience

HKUAA is collaborating with HKU to introduce a HKU Graduate Credit Card embossed with HKUAA membership number, which will give our members enhanced convenience and privileges of accessing HKU and HKUAA facilities.  The HKU Graduate Credit Card will replace the current HKUAA Membership Credit Card. The Bank of East Asia, Ltd (BEA) remains the card’s issuing bank.

This letter serves as a notification for the following arrangements:

Automatic transfer if you are holding HKUAA Membership Credit Card

For HKU graduate or staff¹, BEA will issue a new HKU Graduate Credit Card to you which will have the SAME credit card number as your HKUAA Membership Credit Card and it will be embossed with your HKUAA membership number.  No application of a new credit card is necessary.  Your existing HKUAA Membership Credit Card will become obsolete automatically upon receipt of the new credit card.  Accounts including autopay arrangements will be transferred from your HKUAA Membership Credit Card to the new credit card.  BEA will send you details in the coming three weeks.

Automatic embossment if you are holding HKU Graduate Credit Card

BEA will issue a new HKU Graduate Card with the SAME credit card number and it will be embossed with your HKUAA membership number.  No application of a new card is necessary.  Your existing HKU Graduate Credit Card will become obsolete automatically upon receipt of the new credit card.  Accounts including autopay arrangements related to your existing HKU Graduate Credit Card will remain unchanged.  BEA will send you details in November 2009.

HKUAA members who are NOT holding either the HKUAA Membership Credit Card or the HKU Graduate Credit Card can also enjoy this "2-in-1" privileged arrangement. The new "2-in-1" HKU Graduate Credit Card application form is now available at HKUAA Club House and BEA's web site at http://www.hkbea.com/hk/pb/cc/card_products/affinity_cards/hku_cc/hkug/index.htm.

For HKUAA members who are non-HKU Graduates, non-HKU Staff and non-HKU Students, please apply for BEA Core credit cards as your HKUAA Membership Credit Cards.

Additional Privileges and Benefits

We have your interests in mind in launching the new membership credit card.  With the card, you will be able to enjoy numerous exclusive privileges offered by HKUAA, HKU and BEA in sum, including 5% to 10% discount² on food & beverages consumed at the HKUAA Club House, all privileges offered by HKU Graduate Credit Card and BEA year-round offers and Bonus Point Rewards Programme.
