HKUAA Community Services –“Friends, together we release positive energy!”友伴‧同行 齊心發放正能量) (POSTPONED)

Robin Williams, the Oscar-winning actor and comedian, had been battling depression in his last days but, sadly, end up with suicide. This makes more people start to notice the seriousness of depression.  Meanwhile, it is noted that 8.3% of people in Hong Kong are living with depression and this figure is 10% more than those who are living with depression in Japan and Singapore.

In order to raise public awareness about the importance of mental health and emotions, especially on the knowledge of depression, Radio-I-Care, a sub-branch of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, is to organise a tram parade. The tram will pass by several different stops and at these different stops there will be stands where volunteers, together with those who recovered from mental illness, are to promote the importance of mental health, the serious effects of depression, and the positive living attitude that we should all hold.

HKUAA Community Services Team will work with Raido-I-Care to join this meaningful event. Volunteers are to help out on handing out flyers and other promotion products.  Please do not miss this opportunity and come join us!
